Picture this!... You’re having breakfast with your mom during a pandemic when your phone lights up with a text from one of your best family friends.

the facetime date
I climbed into bed and my phone dings with a message from a random number. My heart flutters, we decide to have a “FaceTime date.” That quick call turned into 8 hours of us falling for each other via FaceTime.
Before I could even ask his name, she replied that she gave him my number AND that he was excited for this “quarantine couple-up!” I impatiently waited for the rest of the day for a message from this guy and before heading to bed I told my mom I hadn’t heard anything.
I agreed to be set up... in the middle of quarantine... after not going out in public for months... crazy right?
After explaining she had been trying for the last 5 years to set me up with this mystery man,
and as they say, the rest is history...
We drove to the nearest lake, sat, and watched the sunset while talking about our families, goals, hopes, dreams, aspirations
The very next evening he picked me up in his black Jeep Wrangler (hello dream car!) He surprised me with Chipotle, lawn chairs, a Bluetooth speaker, and a thermos full of hot chocolate.
